Returns to practice squad
Ezukanma reverted to the Dolphins' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: The wide receiver played on 11 of 61 offensive snaps and did not catch either of his two targets from quarterback Tim Boyle late in the fourth quarter. The 2022 fourth-round pick has now appeared in four regular-season games for the Dolphins during his career.

Elevated for Week 3
The Dolphins elevated Ezukanma from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Analysis: Ezukanma had been dealing with a foot injury this week, but it doesn't appear to be a concern and he'll be available to suit up for the Dolphins' Week 3 game against the Seahawks on Sunday. Ezukanma has appeared in three regular-season games for the Dolphins since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Tending to injury
Ezukanma (foot) is dealing with a foot injury, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Ezukanma is currently on the Dolphins' practice squad, and it's not clear when he suffered the injury or if he is still tending to the same foot injury he had during training camp. Miami currently only has four healthy wideouts on its roster and cut Robbie Chosen from the practice squad Tuesday, which could mean that Ezukanma, if healthy, could find his way to the 53-man roster soon.

Joins Dolphins' practice squad
Ezukanma signed with the Dolphins' practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Ezukanma dealt with foot and neck injuries during the summer, which ultimately led to him not making Miami's initial 53-man roster Tuesday. However, he'll remain with the Dolphins after signing with their practice squad Wednesday. The Texas Tech product appeared in two games for the Dolphins in 2023, failing to haul in his lone target while rushing five times for 22 yards.

Let go by Miami
The Dolphins waived Ezukanma on Tuesday.
Analysis: Ezukanma missed the first half of training camp due to a lingering neck injury from 2023, and he missed the Dolphins' final preseason game against the Buccaneers on Friday due to a foot injury. In his lone preseason outing, he posted five catches on seven targets for 65 yards against the Commanders on Aug. 17. Since being selected by Miami in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Ezukanma has played in just three regular-season games due to multiple injuries. Given his draft selection, he…read more

Deemed week-to-week
Ezukanma (foot) is week-to-week according to Miami head coach Mike McDaniel, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Ezukanma didn't play in Friday's preseason finale against Tampa Bay and was wearing a walking boot before the contest. He has been on the roster bubble throughout training camp, so the issue could hurt his chance of making the squad. The 2022 fourth-round draft pick played sparingly in his first two NFL campaigns, totaling one catch (on two targets) for three yards along with five rushes for 22 yards over 38 offensive snaps across three games.

Dealing with foot injury
Ezukanma is wearing a boot on his left foot Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Ezukanma isn't suited up, so it's apparent that he won't play in Miami's preseason finale versus the Buccaneers on Friday. The 24-year-old is competing for the final spot in the Dolphins' wide-receiver room, and the injury could be a factor in his chance of making the 53-man roster. Ezukanma stood out in Miami's second exhibition contest last week versus Washington, leading the team with five catches (on seven targets) for 65 yards. He also rushed once in that game for six yards.

Back at practice
Ezukanma (neck) participated in Monday's practice session, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Ezukanma was limited for the first two weeks of training camp with a lingering neck injury, but he returned to full participation Monday. Ezukanma is competing against Willie Snead, Anthony Schwartz and rookie fifth-round pick Malik Washington for the sixth wide receiver spot on the Dolphins' 53-man roster.

Back on field for OTAs
Ezukanma (neck) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Ezukanma played in just two games at the beginning of 2023 before being placed on the reserve/non-football injury list in September due to a neck injury. He was cleared of his injury before the end of last season, and he admitted to reporters Tuesday that he had been concerned that he would not be able to play again, per Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post. Ezukanma has appeared in three regular-season games since the Dolphins drafted him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and he will…read more
